A step up for ladder brand imagery

Cardiff based ladder manufacturer TB Davies, were in need of inspiration and a new approach to their product imagery.

Born out of our initial conversations regarding the company's product literature, we set about exploring the possibilities for creating a series of product images, that would elevate the company brand and help to differentiate its products in a competitive market place.

Following an assessment of the clients budget and a thorough investigation of locations, we selected a photographer capable of delivering the desired results and formulated a plan to create a series of images of an inspiring and epic nature.

This rich visual environment offered numerous opportunities to create a series of intriguing scenarios, with the product playing a central part to each story. Sterile white background studio shots now play a supporting role in our clients visual identity.

Key features of the art direction in this project were scale and lighting. The resulting images have ably assisted in creating a real stand-out quality to our clients marketing materials and are set to be featured in a number of planned outbound activities.

Green Screen Variation

To create variation and avoid further location costs, we researched a number of potential settings to vary the narrative and produce a further set of images, using carefully directed green screen methods.

Particular attention was paid to the lighting of the subject and high levels of post production were applied, to maintain the level of quality delivered in the location based images.

Project Outcome

This project allowed us to create a unique set of assets to help identify this business within a competitive market place. The new company catalogue we have created utilising these assets, has received glowing reports and we look forward to working hard with TB Davies to continue to establish their brand.
